Still can't decide on mobo

hey everybody! the other day I decided on getting an msi 970a-g45 motherboard but now I'm having second thoughts. I want to get a few more opinions. I'm building around an amd 955be which wil be for gaming but I'm not a heavy gamer so I don't need anything with all the bells and whistles. I'm fine with getting an am3 and not am3+ since I have no plans to build another pc soon. I was hoping to get something for around $80 that would do the job nicely but I'm willing to go up to $100. all help appreciated and if you have links you should post them.

This motherboard is not the best choice for price (features wise I mean... it does use a low end VRM setup and I'm not sure if it carries on problems of previous generations, so people might tell you to stay away for this reason; my reason, however, is strictly the poor price-performance)
You can get an ASRock 970 Extreme4, with much better features including SLI/Crossfire, for around the same price on Newegg (and with a $10 rebate).
Or you can get an ASUS M5A97, with equivalent features, for $81 shipped on Superbiiz after promo ABCDEFG (perfectly fits your budget)

xd_1771 those are both nice boards. I think the asus would be fine since I'm not planning to sli or crossfire yet. this is my first build. I just want to make sure the board I get isn't too weak for my cpu.

well, I just ordered the asus so we'll see how it goes. I'm so tired of looking at boards over and over that I just gave in. always hear asus is the best so I'm expecting good things.

Asus makes some of the best mobo in the world.

EDIT
FYI
AsRock is a sub company of Asus.
