[Eurogamer] Blizzard "surprised" by Diablo 3 outrage - Page 13

what surprise me even more than blizzard is the amount of fanboys that will defend the game or anything blizzard craps out blindly. I was a huge diablo fan, literally i bought my first pc to play diablo 1 back in the days and its what made me game on pc. They have done so many things that just make me real sad. Its even more sad people that say things like they don't care what blizzard makes they know its 100% good automatically" lol jesus. Reminds me of final fantasy 14 where people would never say it was bad even though the majority of people rated it badly.

1)cash shop/pay to win
2)drm/requiring them to check up on you/no offline or lan mode
3) cartoon graphic and style gone away from dark/bloody/gloomy diablo universe( i swear it looks like WoW sometimes)
4)removing skill tree/skill and attribute distribution.
5)etc

Its a sad day when i would even say the words that diablo 3 would fail this bad, i would of never though i would see the day it would happen. Blizzard is following SquareEnix path of ignoring fans and pushing stuff out for pure profit only.

This game is purely designed and geared towards being an MMORPG.

Playing offline is completely pointless, unrewarding and not very entertaining in my opinion.
DII was not half bad playing by yourself.

All he's saying is if those are single courses, taking two at a time for a summer does not reflect the load of a full program. Many of us do this while supporting ourselves, and still manage to cram in time for our video games (or keggers).

That said, I've gotta give you credit for having taken any college course at your age. Just stop imposing your choices on others, we'll allocate our own time, and if offline Diablo fits in so be it.

I was talking about I took one for an entire summer for two summers, didn't mention hours or courses.

Still, most places that aren't third world have some type of internet everywhere.

They should just make it work like Starcraft 2. You can play offline single-player only and Multiplayer Online Only, then use 2 different characters like in D2(1 online only, 1 offline only). A LAN option would have been nice but it is most likely never gonna happen.

They do it because they can and SC2 just confirmed what they already knew. As long as they keep making money they can do no wrong right?

DII was actually amazing single player. I wasted quite a few hours of my life offline when I was bored with ladder leveling and PvP.

So if they can prevent it more easily.. then why the F open the legit door with the money Auction House instead....
Swear... I'm not getting d3... blizzard have just laid down too much bs lately...

The selling point was the change of skill setup n all, not the online requirement..

How can people honestly say they aren't going play the game because of the requirement of having internet?

Especially while posting on a forum.

Being able to post on a forum, doesn't neccesarily mean that people have a stable internet connection they simply can summon "on-demand".

Point in case is, that even singleplayer gamers need an internet connection to be able to play the game, Ubisoft has been heavily criticised for this draconian DRM and now, all of the sudden, Blizzard is the same but instead of criticised they are being complimented?

And it's definitely not "the way the market is heading" that's the lamest excuse possible, the outrage for Ubisoft's DRM was too big to become unnoticed by Blizzard, how they think this is a good thing is beyond me.
