And yes, I would totally purchase a game, simply to play another game because my ISP's DNS servers are currently down, prohibiting me from playing SINGLEplayer(= synonymous to OFFLINE) because the game forces me to go online.

But of course, the ISP's DNS servers are within my responsibility, too, of course. Uh-huh, right.

This whole issue reeks of the realID system on the forums. They claimed it was to stop trolls, but really it was to transition their games into the social media scene with facebook. And of course people saw threw the deceit since it would would not have solved anything, and actually caused more problems with privacy.

Same story today, they claim it's to stop pirating, but we know it hurts legit players and increases pirating. I think the real goal is similar to their other initiatives, they want to have social media to be streamlined into their games. They want a piece of the facebook realm, since that is the reigning king of taking up people's time and attention.

I am just sick of being lied to on why they implement these systems. Why people support hurting themselves, other players and the gaming industry. And why more don't see the major distraction with claiming this is a crusade against troll and pirates.
The only difference is, both games are actual MMO's, WoW has no means of being played offline out of the box. Guild Wars always retains a connection because it is still very much an MMO that has some instanced parts. But, you know an MMO does not have offline gameplay, then it wouldn't be an MMO.

I don't care if they pirate/hack the game, as long as they're not doing it on the servers I'm playing on.
Same people wouild bering there cheat hacked characters online and ruin the game play fun. they did this crap with Diablo 1 and 2. With this they cant since the characters would be saved on the servers. So this can end. I all for them protecting the game making game enjoyment better.

If you internet connection is unstable then call your ISP or switch carriers. If your in college then too bad. You there to learn and get a degree. Not to sit on your lazy behind and take a college spot that another person would love to have so you can game. I would be so focus on the college work then trying to game. So I can pass and get that degree gaming can wait when your in college.

But if you think you would have no focus issues gaming and trying to pass college test then You should had known they block ports in colleges, you can simple live off campus and your problem would be solved. They block ports for a reason in colleges rather you like that reason or not.

Considering you didn't even read my post makes you look pretty stupid. I said I'd rather get physical than to use 2 clients since it removes the ease of access of having all my games in one spot. I don't plan on buying BF3 at all in the first place since that genre is awful. No, but the minority are people with no internet in 2011 but have a PC and money to buy a video game.

That was not my point, my point was that there was open internet on every single campus for college students, and that's the same with most colleges, so nice try. I'm not complaining about anything, everything I do works out for me, that's why.

It is the customer's fault, since when were there laws that force you to go to college? Dont' understand the 'ability to choose freely what provider you have' since all of them give you internet and that's all you need. Right, because ISP's are constantly down for days upon days right? Can't blame Blizzard for your ISP inability to keep servers up. Even if they were down, not like you can't do anything else in life.

This is just hilarious. So much hype for this game, and within a week, we are starting to see what this game will truly be. It was a dilemma for me to choose between this and BF3. I think I will stick with BF3 for now. INB4 "well why can't you play both at the same time". I simply don't have the time.

The stupidity is just blowing me away.

People who lack an education are now criticizing others for the following reasons: One, they are receiving an education; two, they play games.

Obviously, the world must be in complete disarray because the notion that someone could enjoy their free time while they receive an education is heretical blasphemy.

After reading this, I'll stop trying to make clear to you what is really happening, obviously, you are either completely oblivious or plain, dare me say it, stupid.

I am sorry, but your comments regarding the matter at hand are just too trivial, apparently, everything is the customers' fault, because obviously it's custom to have an "always-on" system for people that want to play offline.

And apparently, you live in a world where everybody has the money to either afford proper internet connections, pick a college/university of their choosing or simply move outside the campus, I am sorry, but where you are living is definitely, not Earth.

So, paying customers wont be able to play away from home unless they've got mobile internet or staying at a friend's place.
Whereas pirates will crack this in weeks(?) and be free to play whenever, wherever.

Good fun. I can see how that's fair.
They should at least lift the DRM after it's been cracked, since it's not doing any good at that point anyway.
