[Eurogamer] Blizzard "surprised" by Diablo 3 outrage - Page 8

Everyone will always have something to cry about. Nuff said.

Game is infested with cheaters:
"OMG Blizzard do something pleaaaase so many cheaters!!!"

Blizzard implements a pretty effective preventative measure against cheaters:
"What?!?! I can't play the game offline by myself to test and figure out how to use cheats online?! This is madness!"
Blizzard: No, THIS! IS! DIABLOOOO!!!! *Barbarian kick*

OLOL that is HILARIOUS.

These people complaining amaze me. They're ONLINE complaining that they might not always have internet access to play. Just... amazing. My view: It's 2011. If you have a computer good enough to run Diablo 3, you seriously cannot possibly be lacking internet. I safely project that 99.9% of PC owners that have a good enough PC have an internet connection.

Not to mention you ignore valid scenarios (on vacation, traveling, military, rural area, personal preference, ect). This is NOT an issue of having an internet connection; it's an issue of paranoid board members who don't realize these types of DRM hurt more than they help.

Selfish attitudes of "if it doesn’t affect me, I don’t care" is why corporate speak has been taking over the gaming language. This is when we need the majority of the community making a stand, but instead we end up fighting ourselves because half the posts rather pat Kotic on the back than to help fellow gamers.

We all draw our lines at different levels. And make no mistake, one day they will tread over your line and when you look around for support no one will be willing or left to help.

If you're on vacation and all, then shouldn't you be out enjoying yourself? Why go on vacation just to be playing videos? And besides that, is 2 weeks max really that big of a deal? Like I said, it's 2011, don't have internet for gaming, get over it. The even funnier thing is people are online complaining that they don't have interne to play the game.

If you couldn't handle a balanced college experience then that was your issue, not everyone's. The assumptions you have made make you look ignorant.
If you can't afford internet, I think you have more things to worry about than gaming. Complete contradiction if I've ever seen one, saying how money is such an issue, yet you have to buy a pc and the game. Really, just play a different game, or D2. The majority have internet, and if you don't have internet then either sucks to live in your country or fix your not stable economic positioning.

What I don't get is Starcraft 2 allows you to play offline, after having logged in once. Yet they want to tie your online character and not have a separate offline campaign like they had before. It's just overall frustrating to treat this game like an MMO at this point. Any game could do this if they wanted to technically, but they don't because it's inconvenient. Console games don't do this at all~ this is actually a notch against PC gaming in my opinion really. Like if a console gamer leveraged this against me, I'd have nothing to defend with.

I'm just pointing out that commenting on something you've never experienced is rather ignorant.

Regardless, all your posts are suggesting how others should live their lives (or take their vacations). Just because it doesn't fit your agenda doesn't make it wrong.

They offered free WiFi in the boondocks of Colorado (Blue Mesa Reservoir) when we were there on vacation last year 9,000 feet up in the mountain's 30 minutes from any city. I think I can be pretty sure in saying your more likely to have a internet connection than to not have one.

Not my picture, I grabbed this one off the internet, but we were about a mile down the road from this site and it pretty much was this baron till you got to the town (Gunnison). With the exception of an 1970's abandoned town across the lake.

Not a "stalk" if it's on your public profile that You chose to display

And yes no one has ever or will ever play a video game when on vacation, ever. Oh and thanks for standing up for our men and women overseas fighting for you right to post nonsensical comments.

I do have 24/7 interwebs, but I chose to stand up for those who do not. I chose to help since I know when the next round of corp greed pours in we can collectively say Enough is Enough.

I simply think by 2011, if you have a PC and can buy a new game, you would at least have internet.

That first sentence contradicts itself, you're trying to comment on my life when you don't know how many colleges I've been to.

Right, because a game requiring internet in 2011 is such corporate greed.

My main issue with needing to be online to play is the fact that the game is tied to an account. If I want to sell it, I would have to sell my entire Battle.net account, and that simply would suck. I know you could get around this by making a single account for every single game, but that's just annoying. I have the same issue with Steam. I love Steam, but I hate that I can't sell my games. I have thirty plus games on my Steam list, and I wouldn't mind selling twenty of them that I don't play anymore, but I can't, without having to sell my entire Steam account

Get used to this. This is where PC Gaming is headed. It's pointless to try to stop it, and boycotting/complaining won't change it.
