Thread Starter
Fresh install did it. No more svchost.exe taking up my CPU. It was a CPU bottleneck, which was caused by svchost taking up my CPU's power. Now BC2 is running smooth @ 4.4Ghz HT On! wierdly, my CPU usage is now normal (between 50-75) but my GPU usages are like 65% on crowded servers but with HBAO on its same fps but usages @ 85+, I guess its just BC2, and I'm running silky smooth, its all that matters. Thanks for suggestions!

UPDATE: This is also a tip to i7 9xx users using HT ON BC2, unless its just my comp... BC2 likes to use the last core / thread to the max, so once I disabled thread 7 (Really 8 but taskmanager has 0-7) all my other cores took a constant and stable load, allowing my GPU's to hit about 85-90 usage without HBAO (making me run 150-200FPS) and 99% on both with HBAO ON.

I'd like to see the screen of BFBC2 using 75% of eight threads while not loading.

it wasnt ur cpu, it was because you had a trojan and u where using a crappy anti-virus
a normal svchost.exe should go up to 25% unless something is wrong, in your case ur pc got hacked
and yeah i know what i'm talking about, cuz i was in this kind of "bussiness"
ppl try to mask their "root kits" so that the users know its normal and its a normal Microsoft file (like in your case)
so 1st thing YOU need to do is get a good anti-virus (with firewall maybe like Internet Security from Kaspersky or ESET)

Your system is apart of a botnet hacking innocent peoples computers for digital funds. It's all because you went to those dirty beastiality sites and got a virus for your shocking choice in porn!

As I said ... people here on OCN use the word bottleneck far too often and for everything.

Forget Avast, try Malwarebytes, and Hitman Pro.

Or Norton/Comodo, the second one is the best free antivirus ever made, first best paid along with Kaspersky which is great but huge resource hog.

Quit bottlenecking the forums with that talk
post #40 of 63
@ OP not acknowledging that it was indeed a trojan/virus on his PC but a "cpu bottleneck".
