Or Norton/Comodo, the second one is the best free antivirus ever made, first best paid along with Kaspersky which is great but huge resource hog.
Norton itself is a virus
they claim they are the best, thats why ppl are making virusses that can't be detected by Norton

well lets see when the OP reopens this thread cuz he will get the same problem later on if he doesnt listen (would be funny if he says in 2 weeks that he has the same problem)

ROFL if you think like that even the OS itself is virus.. and yes Norton is the best paid security suite, trust me on this one, i have been testing and following security products news/quallity long time ago, their behavoir blocker - SOnar 3.0 is awesome and almost bulletproof, same goes for the IPS (intrusion prevention system)

norton has such a bad rep and compared to other products doesn't perform too well....bogs your system down and doesn't detect 100% of viruses (i dont think any AV does)

Process Explorer, Resource Monitor, both of those will explain what service running inside that service host and what it is doing to consume so much CPU work.

And on top of that, the whole 'bottleneck' term is so overstated and saturated with misinformation and is so overused that it's getting ridiculous.

i agree with you on this

Perhaps you should turn HT back on so you have some process headroom. BC2 uses 4 threads, so having more would be beneficial.

here is a screen shot

i7-920 @3.6 ghz w/ GTS 450

you should be seeing your cpu usage around where Im at.

I dont gave on high setting with this card. just wanted to post something.

the cpu usage is about 40% tops

turned off the game off at the end.

...Hello Cpt. Computer, nice GTS 450 you got there, probably needs more juice from the CPU than my cards...

It was a bottleneck - BUT IT WAS CAUSED BY SVCHOST.EXE USING MY CPU's PROCESSING POWER, MEANING THAT THE CPU COULDN'T DELIVER ENOUGH JUICE TO THE GPU's.............
