yup that little card is struggling. I have it overclocked but, still not the best. For now it does ok.

BC2 does not require all of a 4.4GHz i7.
At most it would require 2.6-2.8Ghz i7. I can run the game Maxed out just fine with 100% CPU/GPU and 80% RAM. I have never seen svchost.exe snag 25% of a CPU's resources.

Thats not a bottleneck, thats an infected computer.
There's a difference!!

I like this way of saying, oh i got friend hes using Norton and hes pc is so slow etc dont buy it! well ill tell you one thing, Norton is alot more lighter now then in the past, and the protection is also massive, stop spreading misinformation or using badly configured security products.

And just for info, here is a list/collection from all most important official antivirus testing for 2011, from official organizations and testing labs, this is a collection/list from all different lab/organizatios results in one single image, so please dont post your personal opinion or what you heard as a fact.

Now chek out the performance graph? and also other ones as well Norton is king of tests for 2011, period.

It is pretty obvious that you are refusing to acknowledge the fact that you were misinformed. A few of us tried to explain that what you were experiencing was not a CPU bottleneck but high CPU usage in the background caused by a broken operating system.

When you have a CPU bottleneck, you either solve it via overclocking or some hardware modification because it is sure that you hit the limit of your components. You have done none of these and still use the original components. There are several people here on OCN that were 'bottlenecked' by their Phenoms and no amount of overclock or OS installs fixed. What fixed it was upgrading their CPUs. They were experiencing bottlenecks not you.

At the end of the day OP, if you want to be well informed or missinformed, it is your problem.

P.S: That GTS450 is the bottleneck for the CPU and not the otherway around. The card cannot process the information that I7920 gives it fast enough. Yet again you show that you lack some basic understanding of this 'bottleneck' phenomenon.

"Bottleneck refers to a slow computer hardware component that's slowing down other hardware components."

Having something wonky happening with your OS is not a bottleneck. The SVC host issue is a known issue, I had a problem with it myself once.

you mean 2010
and that well over a year ago, very obsolete graph if you ask me
also i know a few ppl who used norton and still got infected, were Norton could locate but not remove it or even put it into quarantine Kaspersky did both of that

@op: wanne make a bet that you will get infected very very soon with those useless AV's?

I find it hard to believe BC2 bottlenecks/makes an i7 920 struggle.
Is that what I am reading?

I play that game maxed at 1600P and I get 50 FPS+ min.
Smooth as butter, looks amazing at this resolution. Just ridiculous.

All these arguments about which Anti-Virus is the best lol, just use Common Sense 2011, works the best by far.
