No where in the title or body does it say that your motherboard is crap.

I had no overheating issues when I had my chip on a GA MA785G US2H which has almost an identical VRM. I even ran it X4 @ 4.4 and folded like crazy. Board is still alive and well.

A single 460 handles just about anything nicely in 1080p. 30 FPS Metro 2033, 40 FPS Crysis 2. Clocked at about 850/1700.

So, is 1338/768 the max resolution you can get on your 32"? What make and model is it? You may be able to force a higher resolution.

EDIT: Actually, my VRM is lower quality.

Do you know how to add your system specs to your sig?

Big factor is the price as i am trying to build a budget gaming system for BF3
I am plyaing on TV , 1338X768
Rest od the config :
AMD X2 555BE @4Ghz
Gigabyte GA-MA785MLT-US2H
OCZ DDR3 1333 4GB
Cooler Master 500W

Thanks for suggestions
For Nvidia I'd get a GTX 460 1 gig and for AMD I'd get an HD 6870. Either one is overkill for your resolution (and possibly too expensive for your budget) but helps make your setup more future proof when you get a monitor with higher resolution. I've had great luck buying and selling on Ebay but watch out some of those used components sell for like new prices.

Just a note, if you go for anything like a 5770 or above on that PSU (presuming its a Coolermaster Elite 500W) it won't last longer than a few months and will cause countless problems in the meantime. I'm speaking from experience, this was on a lower power CPU as well.
