Thread Starter
Hey,
First time posting on here but i was looking for some advice/help with the new build im planning

https://www.pccasegear.com/index.php...ion=wish_lists

Thats what i was thinking of getting, trying t keep the budget under 2200 or so if i can and hoping to have my first attempt at overclocking as well, probably just pushthe i5 to 4.3GHz or so if i can.
At a later date im also hoping to get another 570 and maybe play around with water cooling if i feel game enough.

I can't see the list. That being said, from what I'm understanding, the i5-2500K is indeed fantastic and a 570 would work great with it.

Ahh balls, i thought i canged it from private...

Intel Core i5 2500K
Gigabyte GA-Z68X-UD7-B3 Motherboard
CoolerMaster HAF X Case possibly the NVIDIA edition
CoolerMaster Silent Pro Gold 800W
ASUS GeForce GTX 570 DirectCU II 1280MB
OCZ Agility 3 60GB SSD 2.5" x2 in RAID 0
Corsair CML16GX3M4A1600C9 16GB (4x4GB) Vengeance DDR3

My main "concern" is the mobo and the RAM. I'm pretty new to doing a build fom scratch so i wouldn't mind knowing if there's some better stuff i can get for the same price and i'm hoping it will all last m at least 2yearsish, 3 with some upgrades

Pretty good build, Can't comment on price since that's a AU site and I don't know what things are usually selling for.

Some Comments :
Mobo : That's pretty expensive Mobo, make sure you need those features
PSU : I personally like the SeaSonic X850 or Corsair AX850 over that, but it's a nice PSU
SSD : I recommend Crucial C300/m4 or Intel 320/510 over the OCZ SSD, also don't really need to RAID 0, they're plenty fast on their own. Go for a 128GB one maybe
RAM : Don't really need 16GB, Vengeance has tall heatsinks, may interfere with CPU cooler
GPU : Get a reference model if you plan on watercooling the GPU later.

Missing CPU Cooler, Hyper 212+ is a nice budget one, other go for Silver Arrow, Noctua D14 until you are ready for water cooling everything
