So far the seller is located in Los Angeles, CA
Shipping is from WA
Payment receiver is in Greece
Guess its a scam? The price was too good to be true.

This is part of the reason the D700 doesn't need 21MP to compete with the 5DII. It's images are clean and sharp, and the autofocus system is boss.
This sounds like something straight out of the Rockwell's mouth.

P.S. I wouldn't buy either body, but if I had to make a choice it would be the D700, controls be damned.

So I'm a bit confused; the guy that you bought the D700 from is really sending you a D7000 and you're keeping it?
i guess im way too late to this, but i like how all the nikonians shoot at iso 6400 all day everyday.

noise is just like mp. sure the canon 21mp sensor will have more noise then the nikon 12mp but when you say print a 4x6 NOISE OR MP really doesnt matter, but once you start getting bigger and bigger prints you trade "cropability" for slightly lower noise (5d2 is pretty clean at 3200iso).

i shoot a sony a900 the most noisey FF camera on the market, and i have no problem shooting at 1600 and even 3200iso in a pinch. i print most my work at 8x12 and i do shoot raw and have to post a bit.

ergonomics is a whole different animal, i personally hate canon's ergonomics but i just got use to it. nikon seems more user friendly but i havent gotten much tiem with a d700 comapred to a 5d2.

Nope. I placed the order on Sunday and when I checked today morning the order never existed on my amazon account. The seller contacted me via email and wanted my shipping address and full name, so I provided the seller with the requested info. After a few emails here and there I received an amazon order confirmation which was a bit odd.
The shippers address was from Washington State and the Payment receiver was a different person in Greece.
Shipper wanted me to pay via money gram and I contacted Amazon UK and Amazon just to make sure the order # was actually from amazon, which wasn't....so I just went ahead and ordered a D7000 with battery grip from cameta cameras.

I don't shoot at iso 6400 all day everday Ergonomics are the only thing I hate about canon. It feels very uncomfortable when holding a canon body. I guess I grown used to a nikon body. As for a sony body, it felt more comfortable in my hands than a canon.

yea, the 5d2 is pretty uncomfortable to hold, the grip is too short so you have to kinda "finger hold" the camera. similar to the way a rebel would feel...

if memory serves me correctly the d700 had a much deeper grip so it was comfortable to hold, but the buttons confuse me to hell....

the d7000 is a great camera, its probably the best camera in its price bracket.

This made me laugh. You must be another member of the "large hands" club, where a battery grip is required. It's pretty much why the 1D feels so awesome, same for the D3 series.
