Add me to the large hands club as well. My first camera was the D3100 and it was too small for my hands. I had trouble going through the menu or even holding the body

if memory serves me correctly the d700 had a much deeper grip so it was comfortable to hold, but the buttons confuse me to hell....

the d7000 is a great camera, its probably the best camera in its price bracket.
I had the D7000 with the grip in the past and I have to say, it was one of the most comfortable body to hold

*Raises large hands*

To this day I have no clue how I was ever happy holding my old 400D. I now feel like one of those old folks who spend their lives on IE 5, only realizing how much it truly sucked once they switch over to Chrome.

Gripped D300/D700 are pretty nice, but I'm not a fan of the inner grip indent or soft rubber. It's too soft for me, I found that a happy medium was applying some oil of wintergreen to the Canon rubber to soften it a little. That's a lesser-known secret.

Too bad the D700 didn't work out, but you're not missing out on much by going back to a D7000. I agree that it's a beautiful camera to hold (and shoot, lol).

having a verticle grip does help, but the problem is the 5d2 body grip is too shallow so the tips of my fingers hit teh body and i cant fully grasp the body. im fine with teh a900 cause theres an indentation on teh body for my fingers.

Yeah, I know. I'll just keep working on getting my photography skills better and upgrade in the later future.

Well dude, you're 14 and Asian, lol.

My hands aren't really big, but I have very long fingers, so I was cramped as hell on my D5000.
