Set_FSB is an overclocking tool. I set max boot in bios and tweak from there. No need for K10Stat or Overdrive
Not all boards are supported by Set_FSB. Actually that pll generator code for that 790fxb-m2rs is the same as for a ICS9LPRS477BKL (Asus M3A, DFI LP UT 790FX-M2R)
here is a link, there is a freeware version and a paid version. freeware is all you need "IF" your board or pll is supported.
This is very handy for Intel P965, P35, X38, X48, P45, X58 and a bunch of other platforms including netbooks and lappy's
She does unlock. Unlock was tested on a TA785GE 128M. But on that board with dry ice i could only manage a 4661.97 MHz
So i just bought this 790FXB-M2RS for 40.00, the bios was way out of date and i was having issues with a 965BE and this sempron, I updated the bios and was testing to find the max i could do on air. This M2RS destroys the 785GE 128M IMHO.....
Are you benching or just maxing out?
If benching I have had some luck with bumping the ht link to 2600 in some cases, seeing a nice performance boost. granted you have to have a high nb clock also.
