maybe I should just wait til tomorrow cause I can't decide and another day or two can't hurt. stupid to rush and get something I don't like and not be happy, right? chances are I'll go with the pony, just sucks that newegg charges shipping and tax.

It's just PNY, there's no O in it.

But I'll definitely keep my eyes peeled on sub $150 graphics card deals for you, and link it here if I see a good deal. Any GTX460 1GB (non SE) / HD6870 will be a very VERY good choice. I'd prefer personally to see an MSI Cyclone / Twin Frozr or Asus DC card go up for sale somewhere....but there's nothing wrong with the reference PNY model either.

Who knows, maybe we'll see another large stock of refurb PNY GTX465 Black PCB's again. Those unlock to GTX470's, and they sell at $99 plus shipping and tax. Note, as a vanilla GTX465, the GTX460 1GB will meet or beat it (and run cooler). But unlocked to a 470, the 470 is a FAR better GPU.

EVGA B-stock usually has GTX 460's for 100$ - But, if you want a brand new GPU, then Get a Gigabyte GTX 260 from Newegg.com

Newegg.com doesn't charge tax in the US.

It does if you live in a state that has a warehouse in it. He lives in California, and there just happens to be a shipping warehouse in Cali.

I always though it was taxless too until I went to order once and it tried to charge me. I order from amazon since their prices are usually cheaper but I've ordered a few parts for my build from newegg. if I want to order something that's like $20-$30 then the tax is nothing but when you get into the hundreds and you're paying like $30 in tax that kinda sucks. it's like losing a cm hyper 212+

Yeah, but if its still cheaper after tax, than any other place carries that same part...you're golden.

I agree with you pioneer. it's just that mostly everything I buy, be it for pc's or not it's always cheaper on amazom. I definitely order from the egg if it's cheaper.
