MSI Customer Service - Was I Wrong in Expecting Better? - Page 2

Maaan. Ouch! They usually tell you NOT to toss in the accessories as there's little chance you'll get them back.

Anyway as far as the f-ed up card goes, definitely make a complaint!

There is an MSI Rep here on the forums- hopefully he will see the post and help you out getting this straight.

Sounds like you got screwed here. Hopefully they will get you sorted. Kinda has me worried though as I put in a RMA on friday for a 6950 TFIII. Haven't heard back yet. Hopefully it goes better then this.

I just did a quick search. Your right it seems like 6970's are pretty hard to come by right now. I wonder what the deal is with that.

I think they'll probably figure something out for me. I like to have some faith in companies like this. I wouldn't worry about the RMA request.. it took 2 business days for me to get my RMA number, so you'll probably get it tomorrow.

I think I saw something about a new PCB revision coming out for 69xx series cards, so the manufacturers might be selling current stock and waiting for that new revision since it'd get harder to sell older revision stuff. I'm definitely going to ask them about that just for funzies xD

Edit 1: Well, I've tried calling 3 times now. Nobody picking up. I guess I'll have to do this through email.
Edit 2: After doing some research, people have been having some massive problems with MSI customer service lately. No idea what's going on.

Yeah, if I didn't get a response via email I was going to do that, and I haven't gotten one since I sent the pictures (most of which are here in this thread). I'm going to PM him now asking him to take look at the situation and maybe mention something. I get the feeling it's going to take forever for this to get resolved, especially considering how long it's taken them to get back to me each email.

Oh, goodie. Now they're claiming they're not at fault for this. Luckily, I still get to send it back to them, but the simple fact that they wouldn't take responsibility irks me a bit. A simple, "We're sorry the card was sent in that condition and we'll make sure it doesn't happen again," would have been more than enough, but blaming the shipping company in this case doesn't make much sense. I don't see any possible way for this specific damage to have occurred during shipping, especially since there was no damage whatsoever to either box.

Also, I've been calling multiple times a day all week. Nobody ever picks up...

Ill go knock on their door if you like? But in all seriousness they have a great RMA department, or had one when I used it. Just give them time, as long as it isnt over 4 weeks its better than Asus.

If I have time today after my errands, I may just do that... It's taken forever to get any kind of communication from them. Luckily I finally got the UPS label for the second RMA so I'm going to ship that later today. Probably will get there Monday.
