As do I.

Was there any light indicators on the motherboard? If not, might be RMA time.
I bought this board to be expendable and replaced anyway, so I'm not super down about losing it, but it just happened at a horrible time...while I was already RMA'ing the new board that didn't work.

Keep us updated, I'm interested to know if the board was the culprit.

Just finished installing the new board.

Still nothing.

So I've tried 3 motherboards, 3 types of ram, 2 video cards, 2 power supplies, 2 CPU's, and both inputs on my monitor.

This is seriously damaging my calm. I'm not sure what other parts I can even replace at this point...unless EVERYTHING is broken.

[edit] Side Note...it didn't occur to me before, but the Power and Reset switches do not function...the light works fine though.

Are you consistently assembling the mobo in the case? Maybe the case is causing a problem?

How about the electric outlet/surge protector etc. supplying power, maybe you have a bad wire, or connection at the breaker or outlet?

Sometimes getting power, as in reading 120VAC at the outlet does not mean it is good, and under load a poor connection does not allow proper current flow although you might read "good" voltages.

Just my .

Good Luck finding the issue!

I do assemble in case, however I tried running on a static pad with the first one...same results. Other things are plugged into the surge protecter, but perhaps I'm trying to draw to much. I didn't think to try unplugging everything else, so I can test that tonight.

I was thinking about it last night, and wondering if the first board had fried all my memory. I swapped in several sticks, but if it was killing them all, that could be why my original MSI board would not boot either. Unfortunately, that means I need to find new memory that is definitely on the QVL.

But it is still the DRAM_LED light that ceases to come on, and only blinks indefinitely (I left it overnight) after pressing the MEMOK button.

Today's testing included plugging the fans into different locations, reseating the Ripjaw ram individually in the port furthest from the chip, checking the chip and cpu cooler screws were not over-tightened, changing surge protectors, and giving the cpu it's own circuit to run off of.

No result...any other thoughts? I am really willing to consider/test anything at this point.

New information has come to light...I misunderstood the manual. I thought a solid light meant things were working, not that there was an issue. Before it was my DRAM light, but now it is my CPU light staying on.

I'll be ticked if my 1090T is shot, but I have a 945 I can test with...maybe today is finally the day it all works again! Or maybe not, but either way I can try it.

If an MSI was the board that started this all, then i'd say knock on the company presi's door and shove the thing down his throat. Any luck firing up the 945? Hope the 1090t isn't fried.

The MSI board worked fine when I started this endeavour. There is no telling what went wrong yet, since it's still not back.

I'll try the new chip tonight. If it was my chip that was fried, it was done by the first Crosshair V, not the MSI board.
