Swiftech 580gtx VGA heatsink compatible with reference 570gtx?

Thread Starter
I just purchased a MCW82 and was wondering if the 580 vga heatsink from swiftech's website would work with a EVGA SSC 012-P3-1572-AR 570 gtx?

Diagram from the heatsink's manual:

Would this work with minimal modification?

Thanks

Yes it will.

That card you posted is the reference 570 which is the same layout as the 580 - 1 chip. [EDITED]

Why are you not looking at full covers?

The card I posted in the picture is the diagram from the swiftech manual. It is a diagram of a 580.

I was wondering if it worked with a reference 570.

It was so hard to find any information about this, this helped.

swiftech made these for 470 480 580, and not 570. I guessing that this was because 570 wasn't out.

chip layouts are identical. ie my block would go on the the 570.

ok.. Theres the difference as you can see 570 is a 580 with less bits in simple terms all the components are the same heights and same places so the block will fit the same, you just have less things to cover
