Perhaps I should go this route... anyone have a good site with easily presented information on how to customize these phones? Which phones are best for customization? HTC Inspire? Motorolas? I'm an android newb and wanna make the transition i think
The more I think about it, the more I want to change.
The Nexus S has a pure Vanilla experience, and as for loading ROMs it would not be hard at all. But you will need to do your homework before you dive into the world of rooting, ROMing, and Themes.
-Nexus S has an unlocked bootloader, (Same as the Atrix as of July.)
-Both have a pretty good sized selection of ROMs and Themes.
-Custom Kernels can be used on these phones to overclock their CPUs (Unlocked bootloader ftw)
All-in-all the only really big difference is Nexus S is by Google, Atrix is by Motorola. Motorola can be debloated now, and you can get a ROM for a Vanilla (True Android) experience, or you can get that right out of the box with a Nexus S, and screen size and dual-core vs single core.
You won't go wrong either one. However I would personally go with the Nexus S, Motorola sometimes has some issues with pushing out OTAs and such and MotoBlur just really killed it for me, but everyone is different.
Whichever way you go, you'll be happy, and you will love the experience you get with Android!
Let me know which one you go with!
