im in the uk, we dont have radio shacks :/ also gtx 480s are stil expensive and hard to find in uk, id only go for asus or evga too.

thank you everybody, all advice was great, if i cant find a new cap this week i found a gtx 280 i can use parts from.

Thats a cap, order new one and solder it on. DO NOT try the card.

It needs to be the right rating, any old cap wont work.

There are a few people on here that collect bust cards, they might be able to send you a cap.

Looks like a 27pF cap 16 volt. I cant find them in solid aluminum like they come on the board only the ceramic versions. Good luck finding one

The ceramic version will work though. Or are you saying the specs are different on the ceramic vs the alum.

This. It may be 27 micro farads or pico farads......can't remember which they use.
