Congrats on that purchase. The fight for #1 just got a ton more intense.
My power color was just under $700 at newegg. In my experience with all 3 of those brands, xfx was the most disappointing. I usually go with Sapphire when I can because they're the cheapest, but so far no complaints with the power color.

worthless in 12 months?

That's a bit of a stretch.
"Worthless" in 48 months maybe.

Some folks will always be "Disappointed" about something... funny thing is, nobody knows exactly why they are "disappointed"... actually, most people probably don't care. Always somebody pissing and mouning about something.

I have owned several XFX Graphics cards and never had a problem with any of them. Gave away my XPS system this year to a needy person with an XFX in it that ran fine and continues to do so.

These HD6990 XFX cards have a lifetime warranty and cost a bit more maybe, so what? XFX has never let me down. And a card this expensive is not some cheap toy. They are sure to do their best.

XFX is one of the top of the line, if not one of the very best companies I have ever delt with. Their products are excellent.

So, I am dang happy I got mine on the way and not disappointed at all!

IF the card malfunctions, XFX will make it right ASAP. And Tiger Direct will make sure it's made right because there is always batch and lot problems from time to time that get in the system creating problems. Certainly things like that are not always controllable by the card builders...

So, again, I'm sure this will be a very FINE product... and if not, I am also sure XFX will make sure it turns out that way. And even then I would not be disappointed!

In fact, it's exciting to have something good on the way!

Maybe in 3 years be worth 1/3 price, but by then AMD will have socket AM4 and Intel will have socket 2014 and there will be a million sandy bridge systems kicking bunz with what they got today. And Lifetime warranty!!! It will still be a good cruncher in 2 years! Maybe better with driver updates!

Would they let another person buy it and have it shipped to the same place?

Also where the heck are you guys buying them from that has them and water blocks in one store?

Well, I got mine ordered from TigerDirect...

http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...sp?EdpNo=55285

I guess the pre-sold an incoming shipment... mine shows backordered. It was supposed to be here tomorrow...

Oh well, if it don't show up soon, just going to have to grit my teeth harder... I ordered the waterblock from Danger Den...

There were some Powercolor LCS AX6990's on ebay... $1049 each last I looked... built on waterblock...

Sometimes... says it ships in 1-2 days, then when you order says will ship and arrive Aug-11 with ground, then after all that, it's backordered....

Oh well, such is life.
