It's a sandforce SF-2281 drive. Buy it.

Mushkin RAM is my favorite. Low latency and classy. I expect nothing less from an ssd by them.

I have the callisto deluxe and it has been amazing since I got it. No problems whatsoever. Fast, reliable and decently priced. Mushkin in general has quality products.

An SSD is an SSD. It will always be amazing (unlike OCZ on the otherhand with all of their firmware problems). Mushkin ftw. Mushkin all day every day.

Do any of you guys realize that the Sandforce 2281 controller is behind the major problems OCZ and Corsair are having with bsod?????????

Sit here and praise Mushkin all you want. The fact is that Sandforce provides the firmware for the drive and if they can't figure out the problem, Mushkin has no solution.

Stay away from Sandforce's newest generation drive controller. Especially since the op has a p67 chipset and OCZ says that the chipset itself is the problem.

^Which is why you don't get the latest firmware. You will still get the performance.

This makes sense, i believe 2281 controller comes stock with the mushkin chronos series, but you can still buy a mushkin callisto series which to my belief a sf-1222

With all due respect, this statement simply does not apply.

OCZ had problems with 2.02, 2.06, 2.08 firmware causing drives to bsod. They came up with a stable 2.09 which lost speed on the drives but brought stability for the majority of users. But since 2.09 was slightly below advertised spec, 2.11 was created that brought speed back. But now most users stable with 2.09 that have switched are fighting bsod again.

So to infer that not updating the firmware will make everything all rosy is simply wrong.

^So you would rather have a drive that causes BSODs rather than something that will work? Also, I doubt the performance differences will be extremely noticeable as it's a SSD. Also, I never said that staying with 2.09 will make everything perfect.
