Consensus on Mushkin SSDs? - Page 3

Here's a thread from the Mushkin support forum

http://www.mushkingames.com/phpbb2/v...p?f=28&t=18370

The guy left his comp, came back and it had restarted itself and the ssd could not be found in bios.

Gee whiz, that is exactly the same problem all the other Sandforce controller drives have been experiencing.

My drive has the same Sandforce controller yours does. I've done 6 or so secure erases and fresh windows installs in the past 3 months trying to get stable. And there are tons of people doing the same thing.

I can't in good conscience recommend these drives to anyone knowing the grief they could go through.
Yeah, but you have to realize, that on the forums, the ppl who have problems are the once who are gonna post there to get help. The ppl that have zero problems wont report anything on any forums, and im pretty sure that its a pretty small % of users that acutaly use the forums of the company they bought the product from. Anyways, since i wrote the last post i must have jinxed myself (lol) cuz 12 hours later i get a freakin bsod. haha.. (kinda backfire trying to defend sandforce but still )

I understand totally how taking information from a support forum can slant someone's view incorrectly on 1 product.

This is a special case though. We have drives from several companies using the same controller having the same issue. It's not a Corsair, OCZ, Patriot, Mushkin or Adata problem. This is a Sandforce problem and it goes right across the board in 12+ different drives.

BTW, you are the second person who tried to defend Sandforce that ended up with a bsod shortly after on here. I find no humor in that.
