Buying RAM which isn't on MB's "supported" list

Thread Starter
I am planning on buying some RAM for a MB which I have but I can't find any of the supported RAM for it in any stores near me, and I need to buy them tomorrow for sure.

If I just buy a random set of RAM is there a high chance it won't work?

You might as well get the a new mobo since older rams are getting more and more expensive.

It's an older type of ram right?

No, it is DDR3-1333.

No, it should work fine. It just means the mobo manufacturer did not test that ram with that mobo under QA. If it is incompatible, just RMA and get a different set.
