Just broke Headphones. Need advice on new ones.

So my Cord got stuck under my chair i move and it snaped the cord on my headphones. What i was using is
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...=Xonar%20Xense

The Sennheiser headphones came with the card. Remeber reading in some review that theres sound card is actually set to be used with the headphones or something. and they sounded amazing probably the best sound ive heard. But def not a big audio person.

Mainly used them for gaming, sometimes music and rarely movies. So looking on advice on replacement headphones. Prefer the same style. Wouldnt mind if it had a Mic if not no big deal ill buy a seperate one. Just spending 180 on a replacement not exactly something i want to do.

Any advice on replacements would be great.

I'd suggest Logitech G35's, but since you have a sound card, and I am likely going to be flamed just for suggesting USB headphones since they are considered the most god awful thing ever created on planet earth, I'll let others do the suggesting

Im sure youll see this a lot, but AD700s plus a zalman clip-on mic. Best headphones for gaming under $250 or so, massive soundstage, and clear sound. The bass is a bit lacking though. Check my sig for a review with a few different types of music and see if that is the kind of sound you want.

Best possible buy if you're looking for a true flat sound and smooth finish.

Get a PC350. Pretty much the same thing that was included with the Xense package.

OP, just so you know, it's getting increasingly harder to buy these new (they're still on Amazon, but from a bunch of no-name dealers and whatnot). They've been replaced by the PC360's. Also, they're over $100 unless you can find them used.

The AD700's are probably your best bet for your budget at this point.

Amazon.com: Sennheiser HD595 Dynamic High Grade Performance Premiere Headphones: Electronics
You can get a HD555 and mod it so it sounds like a HD595. Mod's pretty simple from what I've seen.

Stretch your budget $50 and get the ATH-M50/M50s (only difference is the cable. You can choose between straight and coiled. No sound difference at all). Great set of headphones to get you into audiophile headphones.

The packaged headphones is the PC350. The PC360 came out a while ago and replaced it. IMO I think it looks better and performs better but still not audiophile grade cans.

The PC360 is significantly better than the PC350. Sounds better, larger soundstage, much more comfortable.. really everything you'd need for a gaming headset. Still overpriced IMO, but one of the only real options I'd probably consider. Otherwise, I'd recommend a 555/595 or AD700s with a clip-on mic or desktop mic.
