You do not want coded back for gaming. Ad-700s, or if you can afford a used set of PC350s.

Alright so i always see the AD700s recommended. Would the sound quality on them be better then PC350 i was using?

Those ATH-M50s ill consider as well price aint to bad. Amazon has them for 159.
Newegg has the ATH-M40s for 79.99. Much of a difference between the 2?

So far leaning towards the AD700s. Newegg has them for 89.

whats the difference?

honestly at this point seems to be that headset combos are way more expensive then just buying a set of headphones and clipon mic. And from what ive been reading ussually doesnt produce as good of sound quality either.

What you READ and what HAPPENS are too different things. I shop smart, and I've never been unhappy with a headset purchase.

Almost everyone who posts here regularly and has experience will tell you that headphones+mic is always the way to go. You may not be unhappy with your headset purchases, but plenty of people are satisfied with their Beats by Dr Dre. That doesn't mean there aren't better alternatives.

AD700s are probably going to be the headphones you're going to buy if you want them for gaming. Nice mids. Good highs, No lows (this is its downside), super wide sound stage.

Less than 90 bucks.

Without EQ, you will not "feel" any impact from your music. For rock, you can still hear the mid-bass, but you're definitely missing something. The lower frequencies just start rolling off really quickly.
