Drain port + temp sensor + flow meter

Thread Starter
Hi all, I want to put a drain port, a temp sensor and a flow meter in my loop. What parts do I need? Where can I put the parts? Link to the parts?

NOTE:The flow meter I'm talking about is just a spinner type thing, similar to the one in the EK Bay reservoir..

Thank you

Koolance makes some nice flow sensors. Don't get the 180 degree flow sensors as I've heard some bad things about them (impeller jams, raises restriction within the loop). The plexi/steel ones that are an add-on to the tubing are great. If you're gonna get one then you might as well also get the flow sensor module with it (50$ total I think).

I bought a drain port and put it in my last loop. I haven't re-installed it in my re-build as I found it was quite useless for me. But that's just me.

As for temps sensors, Phobya makes some nice inline temp senors (15$ each) with a 2 pin connectors.

Meh on the drain plug again for me.

I used this.

You'll need this with it.

And I used this as it was inline with the loop. You can get a female to female one also, though you'll need extra fittings to get it in the loop somewhere.

that plasticy flow sensor doesn't sit well with me. I'd get a better quality flow meter so I'm sure it won't break anything else if the impeller jams or breaks.
