SSD Storage help! Taking up more room than the data in the drive!

Hello!

I'm having a problem with my Zalman 64gb ssd

I'm not sure when it started happening but i have recently backed up my desktop into an external

today i noticed that my ssd is saying that it has only 6.54 gb free of 59.6gb but when i highlight everything inside my Crive and hit properties it says its only using 22.7gb I dont know if i keep putting data in it if it'll be okay or it will say that its full and wont add anymore *I enabled "hidden files" as well and still only about 24gbs*

I have used the cmd to check if i have trim enabled by using the code

"fsutil behavior query disabledeletenotify" and it = 0 so i believe that should mean my trim is on. I dont know how to clear up the space

Please help, i'm running out of space!

It looks like the problem will be you pagefile as you've gone from 8GB to 16GB of ram.It looks possibly like windows has increased the size of you pagefile due to you adding more ram, so you will need to adjust the size of your pagefile to 1000MB minimum & 2000MB maximum.

Control panel> System >Advanced system settings > Advanced tab >Performance (Settings) >Advanced tab >Vitual memory (Change) >Untick the box that says "Automatically manage paging files for all drives" then you want custom size (Set initial size to 1000MB) & Maximum (Set to 2000MB)

Done.

Affirmative, not everything you select in the root of your C:\\ represents what is being used. System folders and files are hidden, and not included.

It's very likely you have a huge pagefile sitting on the disc, also, keep in mind you never have the full 64GB as Windows rounds numbers differently this means that of the 64GB Windows will likely tell you you have close to 59 - 60GB of capacity.
