WHY!?

Does anybody else hate this unlock craze? Do they think we have nothing better to do than to "grind" away at a fps just to try out new weapons?

Seriously. It's like they want it to be like WoW... It's a freaking FPS for goodness sake, not a RPG. there is no storied progression in multiplayer; it's basically modern checkers, not dungeons and dragons.

I enjoy this type of structure, and have no problem having to unlock certain items, its what separates the hardcore from the casual

You don't have to strive to unlock any of those things. It just gives you a reason to continue playing the game. I don't mind it at all. Achievements are something I do on the 360 after I've beaten a game and wouldn't play it again otherwise.

This
BC2 isn't as much fun after you get all the unlocks I like goals but isn't that with any game?

i agree with you i dont think we need all the unlocks,at least for mp.
3 unlocking guns per kit,no scope or bs barrel/ammo add ons..it needs to happen fast too,not taking too long to get all the unlocks.
that way most are all on the same kits.
i would be playing the other war fps games if i wanted that.
but where not getting ranks just numbers? levels?
i guess it was too hard to keep it the bf2 ranking for dice.
