I'm sure when the new console hit the market in the next couple of years. We will see vast improvements in the graphics and that's when we will need these silly sick ass computers we are running now lol. Basically we are at this point are just future proofing our rig for the next generation games.
Yeah I really hate how stupid fricken consoles and their user's simple minds hold back gaming.. But yeahI guess. But Crysis 2 graphics are much better dude? lol. They made it for PC then consoles, which is the right way to go . Anyways people have told me crysis 1 runs horrible on fermi. My gtx260 ran it better actually haha.

see at least be polite when asking something....nobody is saying ur rig is crappy...its ok...

but at least help us in pinpointing the exact problem...
if u cooperate then only we will be able to help u get rid of that fps issue with bfbc2....
now that u mentioned u get 20fps..im beginning to think its something other than ur cpu..
coz i played this game on my old rig with p4 3ghz and 9600gt and i was getting 20fps....
so somethings definitely up with ur rig...

ME annoying??? I gave you a compliment that your rig is fine for most games until the new consoles come out. Crysis 2 does not have better graphics it just more color full and everything is much closer range. There is much more physics involved in Crysis 1 which really stress out your graphics. Thats why it's the test bed for future games/computers and has been since the release.

I understand my system is a bit unbalanced but it should still be find. I still wonder if it's the memory cause it sucks when trying to OC. I believe my motherboard is "flaked". Lots of weird random issues with it. I'm able to RMA now, but Asus can't replace it and I don't know what's fixable. So hoping they'll just give me a p67 D. Plus I don't wanna do it right now because my XFX 780i died as well basically from touching it. I hate XFX really, they don't do shiz about it. Just won't have a computer to game on for a week or more I'll wait till I get my new car so I have something to work on until then.

Your CPU is a bottleneck in Battlefield Bad Company 2. That's all there is to it. That is coming from another Core 2 Duo E8x00 user (albeit I don't play that game, I know the CPU would be the holdup), so take it for what it's worth.

That being said, in games that don't need more than two cores (which are still far more numerous), you'll still get a bit better performance than the common Phenom IIs (in those cases, only Nehalem and Sandy Bridge will outperform yours), so it's a trade-off. The CPU is still good, but in games that need more cores, and CPU heavy ones, of which Battlefield Bad Company 2 is both, you will potentially get very bad performance at times.

Well I just started playing crysis 2. Constant 60fps on hardcore setting at 1080p. I experienced bad fps in Crysis 1 and Bfbc2 I get random frame rate drops. But I noticed in bfbc2 it's only putting like 30-40% load on gpu And like if I turn up to 32x AA it doesn't effect the fps at all.
You sound like a total idiot.

People aren't "bagging" out your system. You asked for help as to why games were running at such bad FPS (which evidently was a CPU intensive game) and people told you the truth, that a dual-core is going to hold you back.

This is not bagging your system; this is factual information. It's just that your pride flared up like a bad case of herpes, and you got all pissy.

And so in an attempt to get the last word in on "everyone who is wrong and knows nothing about anything" you created this forum thread.

How am I doing so far? Pretty close?

You sound like an idiot.

Um, I'm saying this game is pretty messed up if it can't run on a decent gaming system. Something with hardware is busted or the game doesn't work. I'm saying the game wasn't made very good if it sucks butt on a 3ghz dual core. So many more games run so much more physics and they run just fine. And I think the extra sucky FPS is because of something is wrong with the motherboard. Telling me my hardware sucks is totally inappropriate and stupid as it's plenty enough for a game that's not much more than a console game.

Someone said they were running a p4 and a 9600gt and it was decent enough. Mine is unplayable. There is something wrong other than YOUR HARDWARE SUCKS.

Tips about anything settings or something that's messed up with something would be more appreciated rather than GET A QUAD CORE. I just am thinking this game isn't programmed so amazingly as other games with much more physics run just great on a dual core.
