16x vs 8x vs 4x pcie with numbers

nice read. i always wondered about that with crossfire and all the boards that i see that was 16x and 4x. nice to finally see numbers with it and not just peoples opinions.

so all you people with the 16x 4x boards crossfire wont be much differance then 8x 8x.
could be a repost but nice read if you missed it.

found this today and it shows dual gpu cards aswell.

16x and 8x are pretty much the same ( maybe 1 or 2 fps loss ).

One thing that should be added: If you have a P55 board with 16x/4x pci-e lanes, you should NOT bother.
The 4x on P55 is not 2.0 but 1.0 and gives terrible performance.
My little brother had a board like that and it was horrible with 2x 5770, going to a 8x/8x P55 board fixed it.

well didnt think about the pcie 2.0 vs 1.0 but could see where that would make a differance for sure.
