[KT] You Can't Buy BF3 on STEAM - Page 30

grizzleboy how many places can you get physical copies of pc games, most places don't sell pc games, ps3 is a different story but pc games are rare now due to steam and if they do they only have like 1-2 copies of the games. I am talking about north america's best buy and gamestop stores, imagine how it would be trying to find a copy in the middle east. Lucky for him he is in japan, but look at the whole picture.

yeah it says licenced things like players, clubs, ect ect. Now he is talking about a golf game so he means clubs like the object, and custom players, so he is talking about extra content that you purchase and not the game.

Take it from me I have experience from it and is the reason why now after 4 ******* managers within 6 years its time for me to stop.
My point still stands, Tiger Woods and FIFA (for exmaple) are games where EA would need to licence aspects for use. Those licences will have a lifespan, chances are around a year.

Im not justifying them removing them but if its in the terms of the licence agreement they made with the relevant parties, then they wouldnt have much of a choice.

Oh, and I've bought EA games since around '93 so I am well aware of EA

No I mean clubs as in teams (in terms of FIFA)

I think you need to do some reading up on certain things tbh, because you're looking like a whirlwing of mis-information right now.

Let me ask you a question to try to get you to understand. You think EA didn't have to pay liscences for things that actually come with the vanilla version of the game and only need to liscence dlc items and what not?

Come on man, if you're going to campaign this hard, at least try to know what you're actually talking about.

Okay well I never played fifa or tiger woods games so I have no idea which aspects they license, but I can tell you no matter which game it is I purchase it on their manager within a year or two deleted. Buy it on steam still their, I have used ea link, ea downloader, ea download manager and they all do it.

That actually happened to another guy, except with his pre-order for the Star Wars game. The pre-order cost was supposed to be for $5 x3 copies but they charged him full price x3.

he tried to explain it to customer service but they were too stupid to understand.

I saw it posted in this thread but i forget where to be perfectly honest. They said that the game states it requires origin to play

EA have been able to do that way before Origin was even conceived. People who troll the crud out of official forums often have their EA account banned which means that they cant play the game online as you use your EA account to play EA games online on ANY platform.

People seem incapable of realising that your Origin account = your EA account = every persona linked to your Origin/EA account.
1. It has everything to do with Origin. How you could think otherwise is beyond me. EA has the ability to lock me out of my own games, point blank, for something as simple as posting stuff their mod might not like on their forum.

2. From what I've read, the person in question didn't troll them. He asked bioware: "Have you sold your souls to the EA devil?" That's pretty damn wimpy to be banning someone over, let alone locking them from games.

3. Maybe EA needs to upgrade their stuff so a forum temp ban or ban doesn't AUTOMATICALLY equal a game ban. Again, the fact that they can do that for something as simple as the post above makes me not trust them. Last i heard, banning me from the steam forums doesn't ban me from my steam games.

That line of reasoning has too many holes in it for it to be taken seriously.

So all I can is its simple if they have something thats making their licenses expire then why does the hard copy never expire, why does the steam or direct 2 drive version never expire. Its simple whether they did have to pay licenses its been the same now as its been in the past and this is a new thing implemented only in their digital versions, so honestly if they have been able to give us permanent copies in the past they should have no problem figuring out license wise how to give it to us today like every other physical or digital distributor.

It took 1.6 months just to get a few copies of Ocarina of Time 3D here. They have PC games, but they come late. You can order online, but shipping is only available via USPS and takes 6-12 weeks. Amazon used to be faster, but lately it has taken 2 months on avg to get my packages from them.

The base does get games, but only 30-100 copies, and right now their are around 10,000 troops on Okinawa not including spouses and children. All of whom you have to compete with to get a copy of a game.

Hell even the Hygiene isle is never fully stocked many brands being sold out. They get new stock and its gone by days end.
