Crossfire for BF3?

Thread Starter
I'm seriously considering buying another 6970 just to max bf3. Do I really need to? What are your thoughts?

Also can someone give me a rough estimated price for the appropriate watercooling needed to fulfill this Xfire?

I'm pretty sure one 6970 should be enough to max out BF3

I'm pretty sure EA said that the computer that could max out BF3 hasn't been built yet. I highly doubt even 2x6970s will be able to TRULY max it with 60+ FPS.

uh... the broken alpha ran great, final version won't be super demanding, game is optimized

Unless you are gaming on 3 monitors (in eyefinity) I don't really see you needing a second 6970

Well that would be great, but from what i've seen and herd, I thought to have atleast 40+ fps I would need another card. I may be able to get that without ubersampling on. I know for sure I can do that on Witcher 2 and this should have similar graphics, just the more intense fighting will degrade that.

They also said the recommended system requirements is a 5850. A 6970 will be able to max this game just fine.

I would get a second one. I am willing to be 2 will max the game out at 1080p with full settings and no AA and give you ~50-60fps.

I myself ran it maxed on 1920x1200 (high) with 16 aniso on a single 5970 with 80 min fps outside and 150+ even 200 sometimes inside the metro... and all that on the ALPHA Version without proper drivers.

NEVER judge final specs from ALPHA software.
