Thats amazing. Just hard to believe, I've been stressing so much about it thinking I would only get med/high 40 fps...

People were using wrong drivers or whatever, but the FPS I just gave you is 100% real.

Edit: fail ... wanted to quote in previous post

I dont see how someone needs to spend upwards of £600 to max the game. At most it will probably be as demanding as crysis 2. Talking about supersampling being a requirement for "maxing" a game is just stupid, we all know its the most hideously inefficcient way to anti-aliase. 1920x1080 upwards needs 4x msaa max, you dont see any difference with higher levels.

Why dont you just wait till its out and see how your one 6970 does, and if its not up to what you want order a second... you can play it on lower settings for the 3 or so days it takes to get one shipped, plus theres a good chance they will be cheaper by then anyways

A single HD6970 2GB @ 1920x1080p should be able to max this game with a minimum of 50fps at all times.

Now, I am one of those people who want +60 100% of the time, therefore, that's why I bought my 2nd HD6970 2GB just for BF3.

Honestly, I think you're fine with 1 6970, but if you are like me, go ahead for the 2nd one, I love my 6970 crossfire.

Sounds good, I can live with 10 less fps knowing im saving $300-400.

Btw, what are the temps for your cards (load). We have similar systems and my card gets to about 60-70 deg.
