I don't know what the other settings are, so no. frown.gif

However, "unlinked" is a misleading name for this setting. What's actually happening is you're kind of "unlocking" a ton of "hidden" dividers. So in reality, it's still linked, but now you have way more dividers to use even though you can't really see them (that is, until you look at CPU-Z).

So when using Unlinked, you can find out exactly which divider you're in (or currently using) by looking at CPU-Z.

Anyway, if you want 4.0GHz, then you're going to need a lot more vcore under load than 1.26V.

Also, and again: which E8400 do you have? Is it a C0, or an E0? Check the "Revision" field in CPU-Z.

Okay. Tried setting bios vcore to 1.45. Didn't work. Loosened timings to 7-7-7-24, nope. Lowered ram Mhz by like 50, nope. I set the FSB to 1750 to try to test, but nothing worked.

My current settings that work:
1.35v, 1710fsb, 800mhz ram, LLC on, c1e off, speed step off, spectrums off...'

I'm running 1710 fsb right now and cpuz says my ram is running at 800mhz. Also intel says max vcore for this chip is 1.45v

I know that it's a max of 1.45V.

At this point, I'm going to have to guess that the memory is holding you back.

However, when you say 1.35V and 1710 FSB, what did CPU-Z say the voltage was under full load?

~1.36 right now. Also when I was playing BF it randomly locked up for like 2-3 seconds making a extremly fast cd skipping sound. Can GPU OCs do that?

I dunno, but I would like to see you get better memory anyway. I mean, what if it is caused by the memory? I mean, "AllComponents" makes me think it's really low quality stuff.

Oh, ha I see now. If I had known that, then I would have just said right from the beginning that you probably ended up with a poor overclocking board (perhaps it's just ever-so-slightly defective).

I really do think it's defective... Asus will fix it. But I don't know what to tell them that's broken. So I figure they'll just fix the pcie slot and do nothing else. But I hope I can just get em to realize it's a bad unit and sent me a p67............. But I won't have a computer for a lil while :'(

They can't send a P67 to replace this because they'd lose money.

I wouldn't know what to tell them either.
