iPhone 4 fw issue

Thread Starter
Hi I have my iPhone 4 running at 4.3.5 now
Had a major stuff up with a restore via the phone
I tried all possible ways to get it back to 4.2.1 the safest until ios5 is released and untethered imho

So I got it running again but on 4.3.5
I had been running a jail broken 4.2.1 for a while now with no issues but I could not get it to restore (probably because I had no shsh blobs on my pc)
now they are in tiny umbrella' cache when I start tiny umbrella
If I try to restore to 4.2.1 now it should work right ?
i have tried ifaith but when it looks in the cache folder where the shsh blobs are it doesn't see them and they are there

what is the best way for me to set my hosts file when I delete the apple details
it saves it but when its busy restoring the apple details show up in the hosts file again should I make it read only after removing them ?

Unfortunately I cant try this now as I'm at work but will try again tomorrow
sigh why cant apple learn to love jail breakers (not the pirates just the cool free apps and tweaks they make)

help would be appreciated

Why roll back to 4.2.1? You can use redsn0w for 4.3.3 and jailbreakme.com. I haven't tried using tiny before to rollback, but I believe when you edit the hosts file just point them to 127.0.0.1 don't delete the entry, then it will just recreate itself.
