Is 27 inches to big for gaming and 1080p? - Page 2

1080 is a pretty good match for 27" IMO.
Beyond that would probably need to step up to something like 2560x1600

there is no such thing, my friend, as too big.

Unless we are talking about tumors.

My friend has a P2770HD from Samsung and it is amazing, 27" at 1080p in BC2 80+ fps and you get a clear high def image. He can snipe people with the .45 it's horrible sometimes lol.

my 27inch Samsung is nice. You probably don't want to higher than 1200p because that will require a lot more graphics power. Also I'm sitting about 3 feet from my monitor and it hurts a little to look at during the night but I am only using a little lamp across my room for back-light so I probably need more light:bulb:

i sit about a 1ft from my 28" 1920x1200 monitor and couldn't be happier. though 1080p might look abit pixalated

Get the refurb 28" from geeks.com that does 1920x1200. I used to play on a 42" LG TV that was on my desk about 3 feet away from me. That was awesome gaming!

Well, I'm Loving my 40". I set between 3 and 4 feet away from it. Maybe a slightly higher res would be nice, but I have no complaints about 1920 x 1080. So yeah, bigger is better.

playing at 1080p here on 52" I don't see how going for 27" can be a bad move! do it!
I would try to get a 1200p monitor at that size. My 27.5" looks awesome from about 2ft away @ 1200p but I feel 1080p would just be to pixelated.
