i checked my cable's pin layout and its this
Connection 2: T568B
from ur link and its under the category
"Two pairs crossed, two pairs uncrossed
10BASE-T or 100BASE-TX crossover"

so is my cable gud for playing lan ?????

so now i have confirmed that my cable is crossover....so now what r ur suggestions guys to run borderlands on lan???

I'm all out of ideas. Given everything I can't see what would be stopping it. Can you connect both comps to the net? Just play online privately if that works.

Man, I jumped through all the same hoops you are going through now Ghost, to no avail. Thats why I sent you that link. I followed it to a T and I was playing Borderlands over my Lan the first try.

If you already tried it then please excuse my post.
