I have a Evo 4G rooted, GB, etc.

The camera/photo software is so far superior on the iPhone 4 its not funny. Low light performance/shot timing/hd video etc. I don't believe that over a year later that there's an android phone that is clearly as good or better than IP4, and the iPhone 5 is going to be better than the 4 with a lot more muscle for processing.

Any niche apps are much better covered by the IOS platform.

iCloud is going to quite useful, and if you use a mac, a game changer.

On the flipside Google Nav is really cool and free... you have to put in some $b4 you get turn by turn nav on the iphone.

When one says you do more on Android, you must have a different definition of doing more... Can you plug a guitar into your android or use instagram, the music apps alone are so far superior and games is also a strong point.

and a third point is value and resale value. A 2.5 year old 3gs is worth a lot more than an EVO 4g (iphone 4 killer) in NYC. I imagine that EVO 3d will drop like a rock in resale. Adults with jobs (for the most part) do not think highly of 3d on a phone.

My definition of doing more on an Android is I have full access to any file inside the Android OS, including system stuff normal people couldn't mess with on any other mobile OS. Hell, I improved my HSPA+ speeds by editing some of the code through a prop editor. What's more, I could make a complete backup of a ROM much like a restore point on the PC - but also includes all cache, data, apps and settings right before the ROM backup.

Apple just lost some more points in my books. It's now 65 - 35 EVO.

Don't know if I can support Apple after all the stunts they're pulling.

OK, clearly you think your time doing that improves your life. Why would you think that a jailbroken ios device you can't do the same? Android is a linux fork. iOS is version of OS x. Anyone who is slightly technical can SSH into iOS, and naturally it has a unix based filesystem.

I personally think it's a "silly" pastime, just like all those folks in 2007-2009 who hated iOS over windows mobile 6.x... They are still on XDA, and PPCgeeks... Cooking up roms, and wading through registry files... Still Windows M. was really customizable.

Apple has always said that the iPhone represents at least 5 years of their IP. And they would sue anyone who violates their IP.

Should anyone be able to copy any products features... like pinch to zoom, inertial scrolling?

If you like a locked down, but solid and easy to use system, grab the iPhone. If youre a tinkerer, get the EVO 3D. IMO Android>iOS. YMMV but i suspect iOS5 may be an encrypted system. So good luck jailbreaking that Lots of free stuff on the Android Market. Lots of custom and nice looking roms. Get MIUI if you want an iPhone-esque interface. iPhone is just... meh. Stale.
