ati 6970 display driver stopped responding

Thread Starter
hihi so i have an ati 6970 his turbo factory over clocked so i had this display driver stoppered responding and has successfully recovered alot before till i contacted the support and they told me to down grade the gpu speed to 880 MHz and the memory clock 1375 i did with the gpu but i couldn't do it with the memory clock as the lowest one was 1400 which it was already on so recently i was playing assassin creed , aion and crysis 2 and this error started happening so i got the catalyst 11.7 thinking it might have a fix to this problem but still its the same thing i use drive sweeper to install it too still >.< any ideas guys ? much thanks and appreciation for your time

Try using 11.8. 11.6 has problems with HDMI. Also please fill out your system in the User Cp so we can help you more.

Hmm then if you have 11.7 drivers you should be fine. What are your temperatures during gaming sessions?

Is this a new system? Are both PCI-E power cables connected to the graphics card? And can you specify when it crashes?

Has it crashed since you installed the card? And lets try using the 11.8 drivers see if that fixes it. You can get them from here.
