OCZ firmware problems - Page 2

2.09 lowered benchmark test speeds. Sequential read dropped below 500 in as-ssd. It was noted in the 2.09 release notes. Yet, OCZ support repeatedly stated that 2.09 had no effect on speed of drives they updated themselves for testing. I noticed the drop as soon as I flashed to 2.09 and secure erased and reloaded. Lots of other users did as well.

So 2.09 fixes are supposed to be part of 2.11 fw. And speed is back to advertised amounts. But bsod is also back for a lot of people that were stable on 2.09 fw.
Ah, I see. Well hopefully my drive remains like it is now, fast and issue free. If not, I'll install my OS on my 4 HDD raid0 until they get some firmware that works.

Hi all,

Trying to upgrade my Agility 3. Can someone let me know the easiest way to do this
"Linux USB updater" method? I am a Windows guy, and don't know my way around Linux. I made a bootable DVD using a Slax ISO, and then Parted Magic ISO, and I keep getting "command not found" when trying to execute fwupd. I viewed the YouTube video on updating using PartedMagic, and I can't get past that error. Someone mentioned permissions, but I can't figure out how to do that. In the file's properties, I see it has everything checked... Help!

Thanks,
John

Here's a thread about the newest firmware having an issue.

http://www.ocztechnologyforum.com/fo...-2.11-firmware

Now this poor guy is asking for help. His ssd seems to bsod more when he has a lot of downloads happening writing info to the drive.

Check out what the support guy says to him. He asks for system info as he should but before he does, he's already deflecting the problem being the drive's fault.

running on 2.09 atm, cba to update to 2.11 yet as it is finally stable. Drive came orginally with the 2.06 fw which gave nothing but problems. I did notice my speeds are below advertised speeds so that post about lower speeds on 2.09 fw might be true.

but it is still very fast, and stable ... so I'm happy
Will just do a firmware upgrade when i decide to do another reinstall of my OS

Thread Starter
I just got mine up and running after 2 days of messing around. I had to literally reload and reload my os and then reload the firmware because for some reason 2.11 just didn't want to take. Only problem I'm haveimg now that I havent figured out is I'm getting that stupid error driver irql lesser not equal error even though my drivers are up to date
