Yea I was gonna build allot of fans into the side, But I have come to the conclusion that taking up the whole corner will look a bit silly becuase its a huge space. also to have it like that will limit knee room. I need something flatter... hmmm

I actually really like this idea, if you get around to making it will you post pics? maybe a "montage" of your progress?

Is there a way of getting the graphics card to be parallel with the motherboard so I don't have to use so much space?

There are cables that can connect between the GPU's fingers and the PCI-E slot, but they're far and few in between and the ones I've come across are expensive.

Make a spin off of this: http://www.overclock.net/case-mod-co...-overkill.html

On a serious note, that desk was an absolute monster, weighed a total of probably 300lbs, and my new apartment can't fit it so its now in pieces in my basement. LOL

as to making the video card sit lower... PCI riser would work... http://www.adexelec.com/pciexp.htm . scroll down to the PE-FLEX 16R

Hmmm that brings much inspiration. Having parts of the computer all over the desk seems like a really cool idea!. on the right il have my motherboard. probably dont need to worry about putting the gfx card on the side. I have a removable motherboard tray from a lainli case for that so no need for to get that fabricated and il do what he did and put hte powersupply in the corner on top along with the hdd's and cd drive. i have a modular power supply so I can just get extentions right? tuck them under the desk and ther we go. gonna be sweet!

Well, the He was me. Hard drives, main power supply and DVD drive went in the top drawer of the desk and I simply had to extend some of the cables. I never got around to doing the water cooling built in as planned as I saw the impending move coming and knew I'd end up moving back to a case. Under the monitor was a custom built box for the PSU, fan controllers, and switches for lights and fans. The PSU there was to control the fans/pumps/lights only. Main power supply was in that drawer to the left of the motherboard tray.

I also never got around to installing the second computer into the desk due once again to the move. I kept all the pieces though... The whole desk came apart in 12 screws and 3 bolts. Can go back together whenever I have the room for it.

If you'd like, you can PM me and I'd gladly send you the Google Sketchup drawing for it. I was a bit of noob with the program, so not everything is divided up into seperate components, but it should let you atleast use the tape measure to get some dimensions and you can modify as you see fit.
