No go there, AMD will talk you into provideing them with your CPU Serial numbers etc..... then cancel off your Warranty, like they did with me....

Roger that.

Right, Let's begin.... You have a Quad Core Athlon @ 3.0GHz, it can be clocked to around 3.5GHz with the right cooling and the right motherboard.... Can't forget a good PSU now.....

Your motherboard only has a 3+1 Power Phase, which won't be enough to hold a full pledge stable Quad that overclocked heavily, or unlocked L3 Cache, and I don't believe the Cache on the L3 Level can't be unlocked, I had a Athlon 640 and failed.

What I suggest you to do is to get a 990FX Chipset Motherboard that's future proofed, with a 8+2 Phase VRM's

Like said, you definitely don't want to talk to anybody at the actual company of AMD about it. They don't care if you overclock, but if you tell them you do, then they will void your warranty.

And like I told you earlier, I really doubt that anybody has experience with the motherboard you have. I've been using AMD, and overclocking the snot out of them since the K6 days. And I have NEVER heard of that motherboard brand before. Plus its an incredibly cheap design, not designed for quad core use.

If you can't find the options in your BIOS, then they're likely not there. Which means you need a better board anyway (which would be recommended to avoid a VRM fire).
