Hi guys, I am planning on get a Asus Maximus Extreme and a i7 2600k, so my question is will i get more performance in gaming with my current cpu and mobo or with the intel upgrade???? I am going.to keep the same video cards and eyefinity set-up

If you're only gaming, get the 2500K. The 4 hyperthreaded threads are useless for gaming right now. You'll see around 30%-50% better performance with the i5 2500K than with your Phenom II.

Just to add, noticed you have a trifire system on a Phenom II. You'll get an even bigger increase in performance as you're no longer massively bottlenecked.

Thank you, yeah I know right now I am bottlenecking my video cards, that is the why I am moving to intel
