Primer and Paint have been applied, just waiting for it to dry now.

*Note: I ran out of primer so couldn't do the CD drive cover. It's not that important but I just wanted to see what a white CD/DVD drive would look like.

It looks soooo good! Tbh, I typically don't like Black and White builds. They can start to look tacky real quick, but this is gorgeous. Seriously. Full of class!! I love how the hdd racks and the drive bay clips turned out!!

Hello , i was planning to do the same thing with my 690 2 , i have a few questions , first have you used sprays or a compressor , and have you just put the color on the case or you brushed the original color first , also has your"s color lost nice glow with time or it is stil perfect , is there anything you think you where wrong about and you would change now ?

Hey, to paint the grill I used automotive spray paint. Firstly I used a "white undercoat" (the shop assistant recommended that) and then sprayed over it with "appliance white".
I don't think the colour has changed, nothing that I can see anyway. I was thinking of adding a clear coat over the grill just as a protective layer, but still unsure.

I'm very happy with all the modding I did, would change anything if I had the chance to.

EDIT: Actually yes there is one thing I would change if I could, I wouldn't have bought a graphics card with bright red lines on it

Lol, we all make mistakes =) Love the build, I have the same case and this is truly inspiring me to do something crazy =P, for the graphics card, you could use some 3M Carbon fiber covering, that'd look really nice to compliment the white, or paint it!

Good luck!

Thanks Kukag, well I was in the situation where I didn't want to butcher my case since I thought NZ$200 was a fair bit of money for a case, hence why I went with such simple paint mods. Make sure to create a worklog if you do end up modding your case too.
Um that last sentence sounds familiar, eh spider?
That's a very good idea, I will look and see if we have anything of that sort in NZ.

Well, you've done a great job.

I have 2 questions for you.

1- Did you spray paint the HDD cages without using a primer?
2- Can I spray two coats of the same paint on the fan blades without sanding or priming?
