2600k @ 4.2 + 16GB ram - Page 3

This is now getting off hands now... Tried to leave only 1 peace of it (only 4 gb) and the system crashed after OCCT in 5 minutes with 4.2 ghz OC. Something somewhere is really weird I can say. Btw all memtest+ test where absolutely with no errors. And now this? Even with one stick downclocked to 1333 mhz and 1.5 v (tried both with 1.65v) it crashes after 5 mins of occt run.

I'm starting to think that actually ram has nothing to do here.
I'll try updating my bios... thats the last thing I can think of...
Could the 2600k be defected? Though it seems to run fine with stock speeds...

edit: updated bios. same crap.
edit#2: ran OCCT on all stocks. After 8 mins OCCT gave an error for core #7. ***?????
edit#3: intel burn test fails to start.

It may not be your ram as you're discovering. As you can see in my sig below, I'm running 16GB of RAM using 1.65v, stock, with no problems. I didn't see it anywhere, but how are your cpu temps?

Do you have a bios setting for VCCIO Voltage in your bios? If so, set it to 1.1500 when you DRAM voltage is set to 1.65. SB platforms like/prefer no more than a .5v difference between the DRAM and VCCIO voltage settings. Worth a try.

temps are absolutely fine. On a stress test it reaches no more than 60C.
