Thermalright Shaman + EVGA GTX 570 HD + Gentle Typhoon? - Page 2

I'm very interested to see how you go with this Linkin, I have a 570 HD also and the stock cooler is horrible.

Which is why I returned my 570HD. I went a step down to a 560 TI, which has alot of different aftermarket cooling options. I'm waiting for artic cooling to release their twin turbo 2 at the end of this month, then I'll slap that onto my 560...

Well guys, I found this on the EVGA forums:

That's a 570HD and the Shaman. I'm also getting my card TODAY! So pics will be had

Yeah I bought the Shaman and Gentle Typhoon. FYI the the TY and GT perform about the same, but I prefer the typhoons.

Also do you really need memory sinks on the memory now that memory runs so cool anyway? I know on some asus and xfx cards they do not put any memory sinks on theirs..

It's better to have them, especially something on the VRM's

The guy posted more pictures in his thread over at EVGA's forums. That cooler just barely fits...

Those are my pics and my account (Nigel Thornberry)

It barely fits, but it fits without modification.

It looks like their is like 1mm in between the dvi housing the that heat pipe. But that's all it takes :-) Can you change the 120mm fan on the cooler? Use any one you want?

Yes, the one in my pics is a 120mm gentle typhoon, the fan that comes with the shaman is a 140mm. So any 140/120mm fan will work
