Honestly at the lower resolutions it looks like the two cards just trade blows depending on which card the game is optimized for. Either way the cards are performing well above playable frames, so you really can't go wrong with either. The same situation will probably be the same with SLI/Xfire once you upgrade to a larger monitor. So basically go with whatever is the cheapest.

and yeah there is a few games and optimized for nvidia and that's pisses me off

i will go with this card http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814102945 and the i5 2500K should work well together

That's the trick. I'm guessing by mentioning BC2, you're interested in BF3, yes? If I had to guess, I'd go with a bias towards Nvidia on that one.

Just not too many games you see as optimized for AMD. Heck, even Dirt 3 runs like a dream on the 560.

Might wanna check and see if that 6950 unlocks too. Good luck!

i would love to go with nvidia but the problem is the there is issues with nvidia cards like they over heat they explode a guy on youtube said that he get a gtx 560 ti and it was over heating like crazy so replace it with a 6870 and he extremely liked it even my friend have the gtx 560 ti and he get crashes and artifacts in some games so i will go with amd on this one i might crossfire in a year or two but thanks for your help anyway if the sapphire 6950 can unlock that will be awesome if not then it's not a problem for me

So your basing your decision to skirt what you really want based on 2 instances of failed cards? Well, I have news for you...video cards go bad, users don't provide enough cooling, **** happens.

Fwiw, my EVGA 560 Ti SC has never overheated. If you're afraid of failure, get it locally. If you can't get it locally, get an EVGA and purchase the best RMA service you can when registering the card.

I helped a friend build a rig recently and he paid $200 AR for the 560 Ti that comes with Crysis. Guess what? His hasn't overheated yet either.

I'm sorry to come off like a jerk, I'm unemployed! ;-)

The only AMD owners that don't complain about the driver bugs are either ignorant, oblivious, or a frothing at the mouth fanboi. Nvidia puts more $ into game dev and it clearly shows.

I'm glad AMDs around to keep things competitive, but I've no intention of ever dealing with day one after day one game release glitch, bug, performance handicap, or dual GPU no worky at a LAN party.

Agreed. You can find tons of posts on just about every version of Catalyst.

Only AMD users claim custom game profiles aren't useful, etc.

Can anyone recommend a maker for the GTX560 ti? I'm upgrading from my crappy Zotac GTX460. I need something quiet and cool unlike my zotac. I'm leaning towards MSI. Let me know if you guys would recommend something different.
