Hey guys,

just joined the forum as I have the same problem as "spaceballsrules".
I jsut setup my M5A97 EVO and everything went ok, except a couple of things.
1) it didn't detect one of my HDs. I have 3 HDs, 1 WD 2T disk which is my boot disk and connected to SATA 1 which is fine. Two Samsung 2T HDs connected to SATA ports 3 and 4. SATA port 2 is open. SATA port 5 is connected to my DVD drive and SATA port 6 is also open.

so it detects one of my Samsungs connected to port 3 but not the other one that is on port 4!? confused.gif

I have tried both AHCI and IDE with no success. Most likely a bios firmware bug. appreciate it if you can point out any resolution that you may have seen somewhere on the net for this issue.

Hey! I think I just replied in a thread you posted in the Asus forums!? LOL

I have a similar problem. I have the M5A97 Evo board also. Here are my specs.

Mobo temp - idle 31c
Cpu - AMD FX-6100 Black Edition Unlocked 3.3GHz OC@3.8 - idle temps 29-31c
Gpu - PNY Verto GeForce GT 545 1536 MB - idle temp - 36c
1000w PSU Newton Power
Kingston DDR3 HyperX (8GB 2x4gb)

I recently updated my bios to the 0902 version and now My pc won't see my Intel SSD drive... It's making it hard to use my overclocking features.. If I don't touch anything it will try to boot then tell me "OS Missing." But if I hit the del key and go to the bios, and then push F8 I can see the SSD drive and click it and Windows will load. If you find a solution please let me know. I'm still playing around trying to figure it out.
