Card upgrade?

Thread Starter
So I have been looking through the ati graphics threads and it seems like everyone has 5xxx and 6xxx series cards. I am still using a 4870 and it seems to run every game I play at max settings just perfectly fine. Is it worth doing an upgrade? Am I going to notice a big improvement with an upgrade? The card would be going in my system listed in my sig. Thanks in advance for any advice.

My current card

Also if you do think I should upgrade what would you recommend. Budget wise is around $150 feel free to toss links and suggestions. Thanks.

My 9600 gt went against the 3800 series so im farther behind than you... i AM upgrading when my PS3 sells... it wouldnt hurt if you do too...
i think the 4870 in crossfire compares to a 6950... sooo... you'll get a boost

Your CPU is going to bottleneck any major upgrade.

For $150 you can get a 460/6850, neither of which are huge upgrades.

Save your money for a new system.

I think your 3.2 ghz phenom will not bottleneck a single 6950 2gb.
Get either a 6870 or 6950
Eyefinity will look weird though because your monitors are different sizes even if they have the same resolution.
