Does Dell XPS have unlocked BIOS?
Have you checked your BIOS?

I'm not sure what you mean but I can access the BIOS however it is VERY simple and limited.

Hi,,

Other half has one, a XPS435T which is the same Dell rig.
Take the cone setup off of it and go for a good heat sink fan setup.

Best way is a H50-60-70 setup and cheap enough.

As to modding it for overclocking changing out the MB is the only
way thats going to happen.
Been there, Done that
You can take it to the bank on that!!

Later

I'll probably go for the CM Hyper 212+...its cheaper than the H series but i'm not sure about performance though. Does it cool better or worse than the H50/60?

The H212+ doesn't cool as well as the H series heatsinks unless you strap a pair of high end fans on it, but then it's going to be real loud. That being said, it is still a good cooler for the money.
