Tips for my i5 750 !

Thread Starter
So, i need your tips for my i5 to make it stable.

So i have right now 166x20 in bios, 3.3ghz and 1333mhz ram.
For this bclk i need to disable the turbo boost, or is safe to enable it ?

The voltage it 1.13v, is stable in prime95.

And what should i do with the cpu and pcie spread spectrum ? Should i put them on auto, disable it or enable it ? And what about the load-line calibration same thing, auto/disable/enable ?

You could enable it, I would imagine, you may need to raise the voltage slightly.

If this is all ready stable, then do you want to OC more? How are you temps with the 212+

I just left mine on auto, LLC enabled.

I have a i7-870, but have owned a i5-760, and they are both similar to OC. I had my i5 @ 4.0ghz 200x20 1.32v, vtt 1.25v, everything else auto, w/ the RAM set @ 1600mhz. It was super easy to hit 4.0 w/ that chip and the mugen2 I was using, so I never bothered going higher.

Here is a quick guide worth reading:

I don't need oc, my games run the same with and without oc bt the gpu and cpu, i need only a little just to pass the 3ghz line.

Ok, so that cpu and pcie spread spectrum should i put then on auto ?
But why i need to increase the woltage a little just by adding the turbo boost, the x21 multiplier ? If i put the turbo on i will have a small ghz gain, from 3.3(166x20) to ~3.5ghz(166x21)

You may not need to increase the voltage, I've not used turbo mode much, I'd just enable it at your current voltage, and give IBT/prime95 a try, if it fails, maybe bump it up a bit. It will probably be fine, and give you a good gaming experience.

I have a idle of 38-35 celsius and 166x21 seems all is ok for no, ~3.5ghz with 1.13v in the bios.
